Submission Guidelines

We are accepting submissions in two categories—for Research and Practice Highlights and the Poster Session. Please read the descriptions below and submit to the appropriate category using the form link. Guidelines for both categories are as follows:

Submissions must be received by May 22, be 250 words maximum, and include a separate listing of title, keywords, authors/co-authors, and affiliations.

In all cases, you will receive e-mail confirmation that your submission was received.

Research and Practice Highlights

Do you have something new that you want to share with members of the hazards and disaster community?

Research and Practice Highlights are all about shining a bright light on new projects, programs, initiatives, local/state/national policies, and noteworthy publications.

Highlights are brief descriptions of your work or current projects. They are not for presentation, rather, they will be posted online and in the printed Workshop program. We hope this will allow all participants the opportunity to share what they are doing and to maximize networking potential.

Poster Session

Are you interested in preparing a professional poster detailing your recent research, program, or project?

Poster Session participants will be given a 4x4-foot vertical space to display a professionally formatted and printed poster detailing recent work.

We have limited space for posters, and spots will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. The abstracts for accepted poster submissions will be published online and in the print Workshop program.
