The Natural Hazards Center’s Quick Response Research Award Program—funded by the National Science Foundation—has supported disaster research since 1986. This longstanding award program provides training and funding for the collection of perishable data. The program, which has produced more than 360 reports, has served as a foundation for the collection of perishable data after disaster. This session will explore the program’s impact and feature scholars who will share insights from their own quick response studies.
