Engaging Communities in Risk Reduction Through the Built Environment

Ted-Style Talk
Tuesday, June 16, 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. MDT
Location: Interlocken B

The built environment presents countless opportunities to strengthen disaster resilience. Renewable energy, nature-based solutions, and innovative building materials and design are examples of opportunities for communities to become more sustainable. Yet, the success of these built environment interventions requires a human connection. These talks will explore relationship-building across siloed sectors and strategies that empower people to build and steward disaster risk reduction in their homes, businesses, and communities.
