Panel Session
Tuesday, June 16, 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. MDT
Location: Centennial E

In light of diminished funding from the federal level, state and local governments are seeking alternative resources as they assume more responsibility to identify and implement disaster risk reduction activities. How are communities continuing to make progress despite these challenges? What creative strategies, partnerships, and funding streams are emerging to keep disaster risk reduction efforts moving forward? This session will share proven approaches to secure resources, with a focus on coalition building and project scoping to attract support from philanthropy, private capital, and other potential backers. Panelists will explore unique constraints and opportunities presented by this new funding landscape.
