Plenary: Funding Evidence-Based and Action-Oriented Initiatives

This plenary focuses on funding opportunities designed to advance state-of-the-art disaster science and those that promote community-based and action-oriented initiatives. Leaders from the various sectors will share insights regarding how funding mechanisms are created, how funding decisions are made, and how research and practice outcomes are evaluated. In addition, the panel will offer researchers, practitioners, the private sector, and policy makers suggestions on how they can better partner to expand the reach of their efforts.
