When the Ground Shakes: Induced Seismicity in the United States

This panel considers the rising costs and potential consequences of human-induced seismic events. Panelists will discuss how to engage stakeholders in addressing this emerging hazard and how to communicate about earthquakes in areas where they have not historically been a threat. Panelists will also discuss ways to target infrastructure that is now in need of earthquake mitigation, as well as working with leaders to adopt more robust building codes.
