In Need of Repair: Aging Infrastructure, Growing Demands

Infrastructure in the United States is aging and rapidly deteriorating. Meanwhile, the U.S. population continues to grow, as does the demand on critical infrastructure systems. This session focuses on vulnerabilities in infrastructure systems and provides recommendations and resources to reduce the risk of hazards. Panelists will also introduce novel approaches—such as participatory infrastructure assessment as a form of citizen science—to identify physical vulnerabilities in communities.
