This panel features best practices for holistic community-based planning. Panelists will share their experiences working with community stakeholders to develop disaster mitigation and resiliency plans at the local and state level. They will also discuss how to move beyond traditional hazards planning to include strategies for increasing affordable housing, reducing social vulnerability, and including new and diverse voices and communities in the planning process.
